A-Class

A-Class

The A-Class Catamaran Class is a developmental sailing class established in the 1960’s in an effort to establish specifications for racing multi-hull boats in competition. These catamarans are fast in a variety of wind conditions, and the flexibility in the class rules has attracted many experimental and home built designs. The international popularity of this class remains strong and World Championships often attract nearly 100 boats and sailors. Phil Kinder has been active in this class for over 10 years and has finished second place, three times in the North American Championship. Kinder Industries continues to develop new products with boat designers and currently works with the following Mast Builders: Hall Spars, Fibre Foam, Sarberg, Marstrom, and Australian Composites.

Kinder Industries currently has covers for the following A-Cat Designs: Boyer MK-4, Boyer MK-5, Exploder, Gunboat DNA, Melvin A-2, Melvin A-3, Water Rat, Flyer MK-1, Flyer MK-2 Marstrom MK-1, EVO, BIM, XJ.
